New Ulm Police
• Responded to a one-vehicle crash without reported injuries at 3:34 p.m. Dec. 28 at the 12th North Street railroad bridge. Barrett Thomas Koudelka, 55, Sleepy Eye, was driving a 2020 International semi tractor trailer that struck the bridge. Koudelka wore a seatbelt. The semi trailer was nearly completely destroyed. Damage was minor to the top of the truck cab. There was moderate damage to the bridge cat walk and support braces.
• Responded to a verbal domestic report at 6:18 a.m. Thursday at 1101 N. Spring St. involving a 32-year-old New Ulm man and 28-year-old New Ulm woman. No damage was reported. Reports were sent to the city attorney and Brown County Human Services offices.
Sleepy Eye Police
• Were called to a domestic report at 12:57 a.m. Thursday at 809 Maple St. S.W. A woman had minor injuries but did not seek medical attention. No damage was reported. No arrests made. A report was sent to the city attorney’s office for review.
Sibley County Sheriff’s Office
• Responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash at 12:51 p.m. Jan. 3 near the intersection of 441st Avenue (CR 13) and 280th Street, rural Sibley Township. A 2018 Jeep Compass driven by Rebecca Susan Popowski, 56, Le Sueur, was traveling southbound on 441st when it left the road and appeared to have rolled several times. Popowski wore a seatbelt and airbags deployed but she was transported to Ridgeview Sibley Medical Center in Arlington for unknown injuries. Gaylord Fire and Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted.
