Minnesota State Patrol

• Reported a one-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries at 8:41 p.m. Sept. 9 on the Old Fort Road, near TH 4, Cairo Township. Kelly R. Hagen, 41, Mankato, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse westbound on the Old Fort Road and entered the ditch. She was not injured but two passengers, Donald W. Hagen, 71, and Nancy K. Hagen, 72, both of Belview were transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center. Donald Hagen did not wear a seat belt. Kelly and Nancy Hagen wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. Fairfax Fire/Ambulance and the Renville and Nicollet County Sheriff’s Offices assisted.

• Reported a three-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries at 8:36 a.m. Sept. 11 on State Highway 15 at South Bridge Street, New Ulm. Noreen N. Ubel, 78, New Ulm, was driving a 2015 Buick Encore on the right shoulder, merged into southbound traffic and hit the right rear of a 2012 Freightliner Cascadia trailer driven by Aaron M. Banks, 31, Mora; then hit a Ford F-350 truck driven southbound by Ryan T. Guldan, 32, Sleepy Eye. Ubel was transported to New Ulm Medical Center. All three drivers wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved.

New Ulm Police

• Received a report at 605 S. Broadway at 2:11 p.m. Sept. 9 of an altercation between a 39-year-old New Ulm woman and a 41-year-old New Ulm man who are married but don’t live together. Police said the couple argued when the man tried to kick the woman, but missed, then continued to intimidate her. No injuries or damage were reported. The man and woman returned to their separate residences. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Received a report of at 9:04 p.m. Sept. 9 of a vehicle keyed at the New Ulm Colonial Inn, 1315 N. Broadway. Police interviewed a 39-year-old New Ulm woman who admitted to damaging a vehicle. Damage was estimated at $3,000. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Received a report of stolen camper at 3:46 p.m. Sept. 10 at Joe’s Camper Sales, 2417 S. Broadway. A 2023 Rockwood Forest River side pop up valued at $20,900 was stolen sometime between Sept. 8-10. The camper was entered as stolen with the Minnesota Department of Department of Public Safety (DPS).

• Met with a 19-year-old New Ulm female at 9:46 a.m. Sept. 11 about being harassed on social media from a male, possibly from Texas. The female believes the male is one that would come into her place of employment in Joshua, Tx. before she came to New Ulm for school. The harassment is sexual in nature. The female was advised how to obtain an harassment restraining order (HRO).

• Took a report of a $99.81 gas drive off at the Holiday Station Store, 1201 Westridge Road at 10:48 a.m. Sept. 11. No license plate was obtained and the suspect vehicle was not located.

• Took a report of a 15-year-old New Ulm High School male student who made suicidal comments at 2 p.m. Sept. 11. The student’s parent’s arrived and took him home. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.

• Executed a search warrant at a Mankato residence Sept. 11 regarding a recent theft from a New Ulm business. Items of interest were found at the residence. A 57-year-old Mankato man was arrested and transported to the Blue Earth County Jail.

• Took a report of a 24-year-old New Ulm female bitten by a dog while walking on the 1200 block of Garden Street North Sept. 12. The woman did not seek medical attention. The dog owner was not located.

• Stopped a 25-year-old Arlington man for speeding Sept. 12. The driver was arrested for drug possession and taken to the Brown County Jail. Reports were sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office and Carver County Probation.
