Minnesota State Patrol
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on snow and ice on TH 68 at 480th Lane, Cambria Township, Blue Earth County at 5:12 p.m. Feb. 6. Jean A. Kahnke, 83, Courtland was driving a 2021 Jeep Cherokee eastbound on TH 68 when she collided with a 2004 Ford Taurus driven by Megan D. Knutson, 25, New Ulm, who was westbound. Knutson was transported to New Ulm Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Airbags deployed and both drivers wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. Lake Crystal Emergency Medical Services, the Courtland Fire Dept. and Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• Responded to a two vehicle crash with possible injuries at CR 29 and 185th Ave., Milford Township at 8:40 p.m. Feb. 6. Sally Roth, 65, Morgan, was driving a 2000 Jeep that collided with a 2017 International semi driven by Noel Alvarado Frias, 34, Tijuana, Mexico. No more information was available.
New Ulm Police
• Responded to a domestic call at 210 Garden St. N. at 1:16 p.m. Feb. 7 involving the suspect, a 31-year-old Red Wing man and victim, a 39-year-old New Ulm woman. No medical attention was sought. Reports were sent to CADA (Committee Against Domestic Abuse).
Sleepy Eye Police
• Responded to a welfare check at 813 Walnut St. S.W. at 12:16 a.m. Feb. 7. A 22-year-old Sleepy Eye man and a 19-year-old Sleepy Eye female were separated for the night. No medical attention was sought. Reports were went to the Sleepy Eye City Attorney’s Office, Brown County Probation and Human Services.
