• Arrested a 28-year-old St. Paul man for assault for punching a child under age 4. Police received a suspicious activity call at 8:24 p.m. Tuesday at 301 5th Ave. S.E. The man was transported to detox and held for jail. Police said they did not know of any medical attention sought for the child. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
