Brown County Sheriff

• Responded to a school bus stop arm violation on CR 29 at 4:46 p.m. Friday. Nobody was hurt, do damage reported. A report was done for investigation.

New Ulm Police

• Received a theft report of a laptop computer from an unlocked vehicle on Mack Lane at 9:16 a.m. Sunday. A report was done for documentation.

• Performed a welfare check on the 1000 block, Franklin St. s. at 11:20 p.m. Saturday. A 55-year-old New Ulm man was transported to New Ulm Medical Center for mental health issues. A report will be sent to Brown County Human Services.

• Stopped a vehicle at Center and State Street at 4:02 p.m. Saturday. A 26-year-old Mankato man was cited for more than 1.4 grams marijuana in a motor vehicle and a revoked driver’s license. A report will be sent to Blue Earth County Probation.

• Arrested a 30-year-old New Ulm man for a probation violation at 823 Spring St. N. at 10:08 p.m. Friday. A report will be sent to Brown County Probation.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Responded to a child protection call at 1:10 a.m. Sunday at 120 St. Mary’s St. N.E. A 2 1/2 year-old child was found on the front steps of a residence and returned to where it was supposed to be, unharmed. A report will be sent to Brown County Human Services.
