Brown County Sheriff

• Took a theft report at 9:03 p.m. Aug. 24 of a tailgate taken from a residence on 150th Avenue, Cottonwood Township. A report was done for documentation.

New Ulm Police

• Responded to a welfare check request for a man who fell down on a sidewalk at 6th St. S. and Payne at 8:22 a.m. Tuesday and found a 58-year-old New Ulm man intoxicated. He was transported to the Brown County Evaluation Center, Detox Division. A report was done for documentation.

State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with non-threatening injuries at 3 p.m., Aug. 24, at TH 68 and 3rd Ave. N.W. (4&14 intersection), Sleepy Eye. Millicent M. Sorenson, 19, Sleepy Eye, was driving northbound on TH 4 in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix when she collided with Jeffery G. Lux, 44, Sleepy Eye, who was driving southbound in a 2016 Peterbilt semi. Sorenson was transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Sleepy Eye Police assisted.

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash with non-threatening injuries on TH 15, Cornish Township, Sibley County at 3:23 p.m. Aug. 24. Michael D. Johnson, 57, Lafayette, was driving a 2000 Chevy Silverado pickup southbound on TH 15, drove into the ditch and hit a utility pole. He was transported to New Ulm Medical Center with non-threatening injuries. Winthrop Police, Fire, Rescue/Ambulance and the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
