New Ulm Police
• Responded to a welfare check request at 2:10 p.m. June 17 on Franklin Street South. A 52-year-old New Ulm woman was having mental health issues. A report was sent to Brown County Human Services.
• Received information at 5:08 p.m. June 17 that a Nova House resident walked away from the residence at 5 p.m. June 17. He has not returned as of late Friday afternoon. A report was done for documentation.
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash without reported injuries at 20th Street S. and Minnesota St. at 4:22 June 18. A 2007 van driven by Magadlyn Spike, 17, New Ulm, was northbound in the Hy-Vee Foods parking lot at the 20th St. S. entrance when she said she thought a 2007 SUV driven by Jacob Powers-Endresen, 25, Kasota, was going to turn so she pulled onto 20th South and hit the SUV. Both drivers wore seat belts.
Minnesota State Patrol
• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on TH 15 and 110th Street, Collins Township, McLeod County. A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Joshua P. Oelfke, 24, Glencoe, was northbound on TH 15 when he tried to turn into a residence and collided with a southbound 2012 Honda CRV driven by Dale H. Rickert, 64, Kansas City, Mo. Rickert was transported to Hutchinson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts. Brownton Fire and Allina Ambulance assisted.
Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• Responded to a trespass complaint at Lake Hanska County Park, 21769 CR 20, Lake Hanska Township at 10:33 a.m. June 18. Suspects were gone when deputies arrived. No damage was reported.
• Received a report at 2:28 p.m. June 18 of juveniles drinking alcohol while golfing at Sleepy Eye Golf Club. A golf cart was damaged. A report was done for documentation.
