New Ulm Police
• Police responded to an assault in the 1200 block of South Washington 3 p.m. Friday. A 25-year-old male from Charles City, Iowa, bit a 30-year-old New Ulm woman on the right wrist leaving a mark. The male had a warrant for fifth-degree possession and was arrested.
• A two-vehicle accident occurred at 7:57 p.m. Friday at 10th South and Broadway. A 2020 Jeep Cherokee driven by Nicole Lynn Ash, 46, of Sleepy Eye and a 2008 Dodge Caravan driven by Steven P. Smith, 55, of Lake Crystal were northbound on Broadway approaching 10th South. The Jeep was in the left land and the Dodge was in the right lane. The Jeep attempted to change lanes, moving right and hit the Dodge. The two vehicles received moderate damage. No injuries were reported.
• Police received a report at 7:43 p.m. Saturday of vandalism at the New Ulm City Cemetery. Eggs had been thrown at a grave. No other damage was reported.
