New Ulm Police

• Received a domestic report of a 36-year-old New Ulm woman allegedly assaulting a 30-year-old New Ulm man at 4:13 p.m. Monday at 826 Sunrise Dr. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office, Brown County Human Services and CADA (Council Against Domestic Abuse).

• Received an harassment report from a college student at 5:19 p.m. Monday. A caller asked the student to sent $3,850 so a video would not be shared. The student went to Wal-Mart Supercenter to send the money to an address in Africa but the store refused to send it, so the student was not out any money.

• Cited an 18-year-old New Ulm male for underage drinking and driving at 12:55 a.m. Monday. The male displayed clues of mental health issues but refused to go to New Ulm Medical Center. He was referred to the Minnesota Crisis Center. Reports were sent to Brown County Human Services and the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Called to stand by at a group home, 1440 Heinenhill St. at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday. A client hurt himself and was transported by ambulance to the New Ulm Medical Center Emergency Room. A report was made for documentation.

• Received a scam/fraud call report from an Eden Township resident at 11:13 p.m. Tuesday. The caller said they were called by a person seeking money to get a grandchild out of jail. No money was exchanged. A report was made for documentation.
