Sheriff’s Office
• Received a theft report from a Linden Township resident at 14313 State Highway 257 at 10:28 a.m. Monday. Missing items included a Mercury Sable, tools including drills, a chain saw and wiring reportedly stolen Saturday night. Further information was not available.
New Ulm Police
• Kwik Mart, 1400 N. Broadway reported at gas drive-off of $14.80 at 5:38 p.m. Sunday involving a small, red car driven by an Hispanic man with a white woman passenger. Police continue to investigate the incident.
• Received a scam/fraud report from a 58-year-old New Ulm man at 1204 Minnesota St. N. at 1:01 p.m. Sunday. The man said he was called by a party who directed him to transfer more than $4,000 from a credit card to a bank. The man contacted the bank and recovered his money before it was stolen.
Sibley County
Sheriff’s Office
• Responded to an ATV crash on 371st Avenue near the intersection of 260th Street at 6:56 p.m. Aug. 28. The ATV driver, Thomas Eibs, 56, rural Henderson, was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. The Arlington Fire Department, Arlington Ambulance and Police and North Air Care.
• Received a two-vehicle crash report without injuries on 2nd St. E. in Winthrop at 9:06 a.m. Aug. 28. Harvey Meyer, 75, Gaylord backed a 2013 Chevy Equinox from a parking stall and collided with a 2018 Jeep Cherokee driven by Justin Whitley, 33, rural Winthrop. Damage was minor to both vehicles.

Sheriff’s Office
• Responded to a civil standby on Prior Street in Stewart at 12:11 p.m. Aug. 28.
• Assisted Brownton Police with a domestic on 3rd Avenue N. in Brownton at 2:46 p.m. Aug. 28.
• Responded to a domestic incident on Mowbray Street in Stewart at 7:44 pm. Aug. 29. The situation was mediated.
• Responded to a report of possible gun shots on Main Street in Stewart at 4:11 a.m. Aug. 30. A deputy was unable to locate the reported incident.
• Observed a driving complaint near 3rd Street S. and 2nd Avenue S. in Brownton at 7:51 p.m. Aug. 30. A deputy spoke with the occupant and parents about safety laws.
