New Ulm Police

• Received a two-vehicle crash report without injuries at 8th North and Spring Street at 756 a.m. Wednesday. A 1999 Ford F150 driven by Gavin D. Keim, 16, New Ulm, was southbound on Spring Street when a collision occurred in the uncontrolled intersection with a 1999 Chevy Suburban driven by Chad J. Nachreiner, 45, New Ulm who was westbound on 8th North. Damage was moderate to the front end of the Ford and moderate to the passenger side rear fender of the Chevy.

• Stopped a vehicle driven by a 37-year-old New Ulm man for speeding 47/30 at CR 13 and the KC Road at 3:01 p.m. Tuesday. The driver was also cited for no insurance. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for charge consideration.

Sheriff’s Office

• Received a two-vehicle crash report on the 32000 block of Evergreen Avenue, near 320th Street at 5:21 p.m. Tuesday. A 2005 Buick Terraza driven by Elias Lorenzo, 20, Walnut Grove, collided with a 1999 Polaris ATV driven by Logan Schreifels, 18, Vesta. Vesta First Responders and Carris Health Ambulance responded to the scene. Vehicle damage was moderate. The crash is under investigation.

State Patrol

• Received a two-vehicle crash report on Highway 60 and 570th Avenue, Mountain Lake Township, Cottonwood County at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday. A 2002 GMC Sierra driven by Adriana Zarate, 25, Garden City, was northbound on 570th Avenue when it collided with a 2011 Dodge Ram driven by Chad Kraus, 46, Adrian. Adriana Zarate and a unnamed, five-year-old passenger were transported to Sanford Medical Center with life-threatening and non-life threatening injuries respectively. Another passenger, Ezra Z. Zarate, 3, and Kraus were transported to Windom Hospital. Adriana Zarate wore a seat belt. The passengers and Kraus did not wear seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. Mountain Lake Police, Fire and Ambulance, the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office and North Memorial Air Care responded.
