Sheriff’s Office

* Received a theft report at 6:53 p.m. Sunday at CR 10 and 235th Avenue, Home Township. A hunting blind valued at $150 was reported stolen.

* Received a report at 8:28 p.m. Sunday of a historical marker near CR 29 and 205th Avenue hit by a farm implement. The marker will be repaired by the individual that hit it.

* Received a report at 7:08 a.m. Monday of a Cottonwood Township resident who received an online scam/fraud email requesting money be sent. The resident did not send any money.

* Received a two-vehicle crash with road rash injuries to a motorcycle driver and passenger at 4th North and Broadway at 5:34 p.m. Sunday. A 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Tyler D. Havemeier, 27, Lafayette, was southbound on Broadway when a 2006 Ford F150 driven by a 42-year-old New Ulm man failed to yield right of way to the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle to be laid down. Damage was minor to the motorcycle. The truck was not damaged. The pickup driver was transported to detox. A report for consideration of DUI, no insurance and criminal vehicular operation charges was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

* Received a report at 11:06 p.m. Sunday of a tan station wagon that was northbound on Broadway collided with a boulevard tree. The vehicle backed up and left the scene as the complainant exited their residence.

Sleepy Eye Police

* Received a crash report at 7:37 a.m. Monday at 1st Avenue South and Remmele St. S.E. involving a 2015 Peterbuilt semi truck driven by Matt Wendinger, 35, New Ulm, collided with a legally parked 2015 GMC Terrain when an excavator on a trailer hit the GMC.
