New Ulm Police

• Received a two-vehicle crash report at 11:16 a.m. Sunday at Broadway and 9th South Street. A 2007 Chrysler Aspen driven by Allison M. Madsen, 24, Rochester, was southbound on Broadway near 9th South when she rapidly slowed for traffic stopped at Broadway and 10th South when she was rear-ended by a 2013 Ford F-150 driven by John E. Retzlaff, 58, New Ulm, who attempted to slow before the collision. Retzlaff had a minor rash on his left arm from airbag deployment. Damage was moderate to both vehicles.

• A 55-year-old New Ulm man came to the Brown County Law Enforcement Center at 9:06 p.m. Saturday, reporting he was punched in the face by his wife at 400 S. State St. The man had some blood on his mouth. He did not seek medical attention. Police have not yet found his wife. A report may be sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for charge consideration.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Stopped a vehicle at 7th Avenue S.W. and Brackenridge St. at 7:39 p.m. Saturday. A Sleepy Eye man had a driver’s license cancelled, inimical to public safety.

Springfield Police

• Received a burglary report on the 500 block of Burns Ave. S. A storage shed door was broken in sometime Friday night or early Saturday morning. A list of stolen items is not available yet.

State Patrol

• Received a two-vehicle crash report at 1:22 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 169, St. Peter. A 2002 Nissan Sentra driven by Keely A. Schwager, 19, Mankato, was northbound on 169 when she turned west towards Broadway in front of a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Maverick C. Jaycox, 24, St. Peter. Air bags deployed. Both drivers wore seat belts and had non-life-threatening injuries but were not transported to a medical facility. Alcohol was not involved. The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office, St. Peter Police and River’s Edge Ambulance assisted.
