New Ulm Police

• Received a report of a two-vehicle crash without injuries at Center and Broadway at 7:51 a.m. Monday. A 2008 Thomas & Co. school bus was in the left turn lane, waiting to turn west on Center Street when a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Jordan Maki, 16, New Ulm, was unable to stop on ice and hit the rear of the bus. Damage was moderate to the Pontiac hood. There was no damage to the bus.

• Received a report of a two-vehicle crash without injuries at Center and Highland Avenue at 12:55 p.m. Monday. A 2000 Ford Ranger driven by Paul Rewitzer, 66, New Ulm, was southbound on Highland, approaching a stop sign when it collided with a 2006 Ford Taurus driven by Lucy Sletta, 18, New Ulm, who was westbound on Center, and tried to turn right (north) on Highway. Damage was minor to both vehicles.

• Received a report of a two-vehicle crash at 1:37 p.m. Monday at 3rd North and State Street. A 2004 Ford pickup driven by Clayton Simonsen, 21, Sleepy Eye, was southbound on State Street, turning left onto 3rd North when he collided with a 2014 Dodge Charger driven by David Moreno, 20, New Ulm, who was unable to stop on ice. Damage was severe to the Charger and moderate to the Ford.

State Patrol

• Is investigating an injury crash on State Highway 60 east of State Highway 4, St. James Township, Watonwan County, reported at 2:17 p.m. Monday. The extent of the injuries has not yet been determined. Further information will be released and posted when available.
