Local company expands to Twin Cities

Nicklasson Athletic Company doubles in size, expands

customer offerings

NEW ULM — New Ulm’s Nicklasson Athletic Company (NAC) has expanded its services to the Twin Cities, opening a new state-of-the-art sales office and showroom in Edina and doubling its sales team. With this expansion, NAC is now a premium sporting goods provider to teams, schools, corporations and organizations across the state.

The Edina showroom features an innovative approach to accommodate custom fittings for sports like hockey, soccer and lacrosse, as well as unique apparel design creations. The new sales office and showroom allows teams to preview the latest products from top brands like Under Armour, Adidas, CCM and North Face, while in-house design technology allows organizations to co-create customized online store solutions for their athletic and apparel needs.

“We’re very excited about this expansion,” says Steve Prunty, NAC co-owner. “Nicklassons has been serving Minnesota sports teams for more than 70 years, and now we can bring that experience and expertise to even more teams and organizations with our expanded capabilities.”

Previously, NAC focused on serving football, basketball, baseball, softball and wrestling teams throughout the state. With the expansion, NAC has added over 80 years of combined sales expertise in sports such as soccer, lacrosse, hockey, tennis, golf, and track and field, as well as proven apparel design knowledge.
