Organ Concert at Cathedral on Friday

NEW ULM — Dr. Chris Gage, music director and organist at Overbrook Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, PA, will present an organ concert at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity on Friday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m.

Dr. Gage has performed in numerous organ competitions, including Lubeck, Germany and the Tariverdiev International Organ Competition in Lawrence, KS. The program will include Bach’s Passacaglia in C minor and Johannes-Matthias Michel’s Organ Timbrel, and Dance.

Wednesday Wonder Club on Jan. 22

NEW ULM — Once a month, the Wednesday Wonder Club will meet at the New Ulm Publica Library to explore a different scientific principle. One Wednesday we’ll investigate the science of construction by making a spaghetti tower, the next we’ll study fractions by measuring ingredients for a no bake treat.

This program is for students in second to fourth grade. Registration is required. Please call the library at 507-359-8331 to register or for more information.

March for Life Rally on Jan. 22

NEW ULM — The 2020 March for Life Rally will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The schedule starts in New Ulm with a 7 a.m. Mass at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 605 N. State Street. At 7:40 a.m a coach bus loads and leaves for the 10:30 a.m. Ecumenical Prayer for Life Service at St. Paul Cathedral, followed by MCCL Rally at the Minnesota State Capitol. The bus returns to New Ulm at 3 p.m.. Call the Cathedral office at 354-4158 to reserve a seat. No cost, bring your own lunch and drinks.

Heartland Express open on MLK Day

NEW ULM — Brown County Heartland Express will operate as normal for Martin Luther King Day, on Monday, Jan. 20. If you need a ride for that day, please be sure to call the Heartland Express office by 3 p.m. Friday Jan. 17 to schedule a ride, at 507-359-2717, or 800-707-2717.
