WINDOM — Five people were killed and eight injured in a head-on crash Friday in Cottonwood County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The crash involved a 2016 GMC Terrain and a 2019 Ford Transit Van carrying 12 passengers. The crash was reported at 4:42 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and 240th Street, between Sanborn and Windom.
