Monday’s high temp sets record
70 degrees tops 2012 record
NEW ULM — The Monday, March 10 high temperature of 70 degrees in New Ulm broke the all-time high temperature previously set in 2012 by eight degrees.
The previous all-time high for March 10 in New Ulm was 64 degrees set in 2012.
The temperature reached 72 degrees in Sleepy Eye Monday.
All-time high temperature records were set Monday with 62 degrees in Duluth and Hibbing. The temperature reached 65 degrees in the Twin Cities Monday, just missing 66 degrees, the all-time high for March 10.
The average high temperature for March 10 in the Twin Cities was 39 degrees.
High temperatures for Thursday and Friday could reach 70 degrees or more in a number of Minnesota communities, according to the National Weather Service.
