GIBBON — The Gibbon Fairfax Winthrop (GFW) school board meets in regular session in the elementary school cafeteria at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Facility repairs and updates continue in the Gibbon and Winthrop schools.

Facility manager Brian Weir reported a new pump was installed on boiler 2 in Winthrop, Hoffman Electric finished wiring all new business center outlets, repair a thermostat and exhaust fan wiring in the Gibbon boiler room.

Future work includes a new floor drain for a commercial dishwater by B&R Plumbing in the FACS (Family And Consumer Science) room. A new side door will be installed in the Fairfax bus garage. New water faucets will be installed in some Winthrop school lavatories.

Weir said a day custodial/maintenance job is open for the Winthrop school.

GFW teaching retirements effective June 5, 2023 are on the board consent agenda.
