Pepfest pie finale

St. Paul’s Lutheran School kindergarten teacher Beth Wolf got six pies in the face at the end of a school pepfest Thursday. St. Paul’s Heart Ambassador and second-grader Charlie Tietel and kindergarten student Miranda Peterson planted the pies on their teacher. Wolf had said she would take a pie in the face for each $1,000 students raised in Jump Rope for Heart, a national fundraising program operated by the American Heart Association. Students raised $6,600 for the program that helps educate children about the dangers of heart disease and stroke while raising funds for cardiovascular and stroke research and health education.
