WINTHROP — Six people filed for three open seats on the City Council earlier this month.

Megan Schmidt was the only incumbent councilor to file for office. Challengers are Gordy Grack, Jennifer O’Connor, Brent Roiger, Glen Steiner and Dawn M. Wickenhauser.

Councilor Robert “Rob” Edwards was the only candidate to file for mayor.

All three Gaylord councilors — Lynn Grochow, Jessica Uecker, and Tony Padilla filed for reelection.

Buffalo Lake Mayor Matthew Rath and Councilor Ryan Beich filed for reelection. Challengers filing for two council seats are Samuel Pettit and Jay Squibb.

Cobden Mayor Allen Krebs and City Clerk/Treasurer Melissa Krebs filed for reelection.

Evan councilors Danny Christensen and Ken Rothmeier filed for reelection.

Hanska Mayor Daniel Vee filed for reelection. Ian Kjelshus and Lucas Andrew Larson filed for two open council seats.
