NEW ULM — The election filing period for District 88 School Board is officially open.

Anyone wishing to appear on ballot for the School Board during the Nov. general election must file before 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16.

This year, three school board members are up for election: Steve Gag, Amanda Groebner and Melissa Sunderman.

During the election, voters will be asked to select three candidates from the list of those that have filed for School Board.

As of Friday, two incumbents, Steve Gag and Melissa Sunderman, have filed affidavits for re-election.

No other affidavits have been received at this time.

Anyone who wants to appear on the ballot for School Board must file at the District Office located at New Ulm’s Middle School. Candidates are advised to enter the building through door #1 to reach the District Office.
