SE firefighters respond to combine fire
SLEEPY EYE — Firefighters responded to a combine fire with four trucks at the John Maas farm, 5 1/2 miles northeast of Sleepy Eye Wednesday afternoon.
Sleepy Eye Fire Chief Ron Zinniel said the call was received at about 3:20 p.m. and firefighters remained in the scene for about two hours. Zinniel said a John Deere combine was completely destroyed by fire and some soybeans in the combine were lost.
“Other than that, everything went well,” Zinniel said.
