SSTC elects new board, sets upcoming season

NEW ULM — State Street Theater (SST) elected a new Board of Directors during its fiscal year end annual meeting.

The new board consists of Lisa Besemer, Mary Ellen Domeier, Dennis Frederickson, Tom Kaehler, Dan Kalk, Kathy Lund, Sharon Pieschel, Mark Santelman, Audra Shaneman, Derek Shaver, Richard Tostenson, and Donna Wing. 

Executive Officers elected were Richard Tostenson, President/Chair; Tom Kaehler, Vice President, Vice-Chair; Donna Wing, Secretary, Derek Shaver, Treasurer, and Mary Ellen Domeier, Immediate Past President/Chair.

In addition to electing a new board, the upcoming season was announced, but acknowledged the COVID-19 pandemic has caused cancellations and postponements of plays and other performances. Other performances could still be subject to change because of the virus.

Currently the 2020-2021 season is set to begin in August with a screening of a 1970s musical film that will have audience doing Time Warp again. The offerings through December include The Britins, Charlotte’s Web,Diamond, Elvis & Cash, Shaprio & Smith, Two Rivers Orchestra, Duelly Noted, Who Dunit – and to Whom, the Johnny Cash Tribute Show, Looney Lutherans, and the White Sidewalls. 

The calendar year concludes with a New Years Eve Ball December 31, and there are many more offering in 2021.
