Rolling in to Chubby’s

HANSKA — The streets of downtown Hanska were lined with classic cars, trucks and motorcycles, Friday night.

Chubby’s Bar was hosting a Classic Vehicle Roll in that included a live performance from the band Switch Road.

The classic car hop brought in dozens of retro-vehicles from every era ranging from a 1937 Chevy to a 2003 Corvette. There were even a few vehicles that fell into the Rat Rod category.

Ken Lindberg of Lafayette came roll in with his latest creation. His rat rod featured the roof of a 1937 Chevy but the hood and rear of a 1952 Cadillac.

Lindberg said he recently took it to a rat rod competition in Nebraska and won fourth place.

The car owners did not have all the fun. Motorcycles were the most heavily represented vehicle, with around 30 bikes parked on Broadway. The event was the last chance for many bikers to get in the last ride before the end of the summer.
