Ribbon-cutting for salon

NEW ULM — The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce Willkommen Committee held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for NU Roots Salon Thursday.

The salon is located at 219 N. Broadway behind Jimmy John’s. The front door is on the alley side of the block.

NU Roots opened in early May. Staff includes owner Chelsey Bode and hairdresser Keli Weatherly. The two have years of experience as hair stylists.

The salon offers various hair care needs, including cuts, treatments, colors, lifts, tints, body waxes and eyelash extensions.

NU Roots Salon is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Bode said they are available on weekends by appointment.
