Grief-support camp offered for youths

MADISON LAKE, Minn. — Camp Oz, a grief-support camp for children and teens, will be hosted Saturday, Oct. 1, by Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice. The day-long camp will be held on Lake Washington in Madison Lake, Minnesota, for children and teens ages 6 to 18 who have experienced the death of someone in their life. Music for Memories Alzheimer’s fundraiser in Gibbon

Team Gibbon will host a downtown concert/street dance Saturday, Sept. 10, to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related illnesses. Featuring Nashville recording artist Jay Allen and local cover band, 2nd Notion, proceeds from the one-night-only event will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Judge puts hold on ND trigger law banning abortion

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A judge on Thursday again blocked a trigger law banning abortion in North Dakota as he weighs arguments from the state's lone abortion clinic that the law violates the state constitution. Burleigh County District Judge Bruce Romanick granted the request for a preliminary injunction as part of a lawsuit brought by the Red River Women's Clinic in Fargo.
