American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED Certification Course with

Fee: $50 per person
A class for anyone who needs a course completion card for their job, OSHA certification or other requirements. You can also take it to be prepared for an emergency. After the course, you will receive a course completion card valid for two years. Class focus is on life-saving skills necessary to work with adults, children and infants. You will learn how to use an AED, develop the skills for choking relief and will learn how to recognize an emergency. Number needed to hold class: 5; maximum participants: 15.

You also will learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid for emergencies (choking, heart attack and stroke); and learn how to handle injury and environmental emergencies, such as external bleeding, broken bones, sprains, and bites and stings. Number needed to hold class: 5; maximum participants: 15.

Youth Focused First Aid Training with Jeff Allerson, instructor

Fee: $15 per person
Develop the basic skills necessary to manage a first aid situation. You will learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers and first aid actions for common medical and environmental emergencies, including how to care for someone who is choking, and tending to minor cuts and bruises, broken bones and sprains, sunburn, heat- and cold-related emergencies, allergic reactions, and animal bites and stings. We will also discuss how and when to make a 911 call.
