Hands-on butter making demonstration will be held at Historic Kiesling House

NEW ULM – The historic Kiesling House will host a hands-on butter-making demonstration led by New Ulm Mayor Kathleen Backer, a butter enthusiast with a passion for pioneer-era traditions. Using small jars participants will shake cream into butter with their own hands. This is a drop-in demonstration, so stop by anytime between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 7. SouthPoint Foundation awards $15,000 in Scholarships

SLEEPY EYE - SouthPoint Financial Credit Union announce the winners of its annual Foundation Scholarship Essay Competition. Following a review of more than 115 submissions, a panel of judges has selected ten students to each receive a $1,500 scholarship. NEW ULM – The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce is kicking off the New Ulm Downtown Car & Bike Roll-In series, from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 14. LWV neighborhood walkabouts start this week

LWV neighborhood walkabouts start this week NEW ULM – The League of Women Voters (LWV) invites the public to lace up their walking shoes and explore nature in the community through the Neighborhood Walkabout series. Five walks are scheduled each week in June in different New Ulm neighborhoods during the first few weeks of the month. The walks are open to everyone. NEW ULM - The Brown County DFL will hold its annual picnic on Monday, June 9 at Herman Heights Park in New Ulm from 5:30-7:30pm. Confirmed guest speakers are Jake Johnson, who is running for Congress in the 1st District, and Rep. Luke Frederick from Mankato. Others are invited. Music will be provided by Scott Sparlin.
