MADELIA — Madelia fell to Martin County West in four sets of Valley Division volleyball action on Friday night as the Mavericks won 24-26, 25-22, 25-17, 25-18.

Madelia was led by Makayla Sorenson’s 14 kills, 25 digs and two aces, while Grace Tatro had five kills, 13 set assists and 10 digs. Lauryn Grev added three kills, 19 digs and three aces, while Madelyn Lehman and Kellie Koberoski each had four kills. Emmy Johnson added 24 digs, while Adrianne Missling had 19 set assists.

Madelia fell to 12-17 overall with the loss and finished 3-3 in the Valley Division.
