NORTH MANKATO — New Ulm improved to 10-0 with a 3-1 win over Mankato West Monday in a nonconference boys soccer game.

Levi Johnson had two goals in the game, while Jackson Ocampo had a goal and two assists. Austin Krohn had eight saves.

New Ulm travels to Worthington on Tuesday.

PREP VOLLEYBALL

Sleepy Eye 3, RRC 0

LAMBERTON — Sleepy Eye swept Red Rock Central 25-22, 25-22, 25-23 in a nonconference volleyball match on Monday.

Sam Price led Sleepy Eye with seven kills, six digs and two blocks, while Makayla Strong had seven kills. Jaelynn Schauman had three kills, nine digs, five blocks and four aces, while Ava Kunkel had 11 set assists and 10 digs. Hannah Meyer had seven set assists and seven digs.

Sleepy Eye (3-7) hosts Wabasso on Tuesday.

Springfield/Cedar Mountain girls win at Windom

WINDOM — The Springfield/Cedar Mountain girls cross-country team placed first at a prep cross-country meet on Monday, scoring 46 points.

S/CM was followed by Adrian/Ellsworth (60), Mountain Lake Area (70), St. James Area (87), Windom Area (104) and Tracy Milroy Balaton (129).

On the boys side, Windom Area placed first (43), followed by MLA (68), SJA (90), Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s/Sleepy Eye/New Ulm Cathedral (117), S/CM (120), TMB (122), Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial/Nicollet (134) and Adrian/Ellswoth (158).

Leading the S/CM girls was Katie Thram in third place (22:33.13), followed by Lydia Dauer in fourth (22:34.82) and Farrah Dauer in fifth (22:40.04). Sylvia Hovland placed 12th (24:10.85). For the SM/SE/NUC, Emma Hagen placed eighth (23:13.84).

On the boys side for S/CM, Dylan Dewitt placed 11th (19:24.31), while Ryan Buerkle placed 14th (19:44.44). For SM/SE/NUC, Raul Rodriguez placed ninth (19:13.44), while Levi Hagen took 15th (19:48.20).
