WABASSO — New Ulm Cathedral swept Wabasso 25-18, 25-19, 25-13 in a Tomahawk Division volleyball match on Thursday.
Shay Wilfahrt led Cathedral with 15 kills, three blocks and two aces, while Ava Krueger had 10 kills.
Carly Fenger had six kills for Wabasso, while Audrey Johnson had 12 digs. Sara Carlson had 16 set assists and three aces, and Camryn Irlbeck had four blocks and five kills.
Cathedral (2-3, 1-0) plays in the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown tournament on Saturday, while Wabasso (2-1, 0-1) plays at New London-Spicer on Monday.

Sleepy Eye 0
MORGAN — Cedar Mountain swept Sleepy Eye 25-17, 25-17, 26-24 in a Tomahawk Division volleyball match on Thursday.
Kendra Erickson led Cedar Mountain with 14 kills, seven set assists, five digs and three aces, while Reagyn Kleinschmidt had eight kills, 12 set assists and seven digs. Aubrey Steffl added five kills and 10 digs, while Kendal Atkins had five digs and five aces.
For Sleepy Eye, Sam Price had 14 kills and 10 digs, while Callie Evers had five kills and Jace Schauman had 10 digs. Hannah Meyer and Ava Kunkel each had eight set assists.
Cedar Mountain (4-0, 1-0) plays in a tournament at Maple River on Saturday, while Sleepy Eye (0-4, 0-1) hosts a tournament on Saturday

LAKE CRYSTAL — Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial swept Minnesota Valley Lutheran 25-16, 25-20, 25-18 in a South Central Conference volleyball match on Thursday.
Jenna Bates led MVL with seven kills and eight digs, while Olivia Hammer had six kills and 10 digs. Nora Krueger had 12 set assists and six digs, and Marley Schauer had four kills and two blocks.
MVL (2-2, 0-1) plays in the Sleepy Eye Tournament on Saturday.
BLHS 3, St. Mary’s 2
HECTOR — Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart downed Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s 25-17, 23-25, 25-16, 21-25, 15-9 in a Tomahawk Division volleyball match on Thursday.
Morgan Mathiowetz led the Knights with 28 kills and 23 digs, while Reese Hoffmann had 10 kills and 14 digs. Kailey Nelson had 15 digs, and Josie Helget had 60 set assists and 25 digs. Natalie Fischer had 14 digs.
No statistics were provided for BLHS.

LESTER PRAIRIE — Lester Prairie downed Springfield 25-20, 25-19, 25-11, 25-20 in a Tomahawk Division volleyball match on Thursday.
Lily Pingeon had five kills and two blocks for Springfield, while Kendall Krueger had four kills, two blocks and 13 digs. Delayna Johnson had three kills, four blocks and 12 digs, and Taylor Roiger had seven set assists, three aces and seven digs.
Springfield (0-3, 0-1) hosts Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Tuesday.

ARLINGTON — Glencoe-Silver Lake swept Sibley East 25-15, 25-14, 25-17 in a nonconference volleyball match on Thursday.
Emme Eccles led the Wolverines with eight kills and six digs, while Aleah Parrott had four kills. Anahii Alvarado had six digs and an ace, while Anna Colling and Kennedy Hahn each had eight set assists.
Sibley East (1-2) hosts Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial on Tuesday.

MONTGOMERY — New Ulm topped Tri-City United 1-0 in a Big South Conference boys soccer game on Thursday.
Logan Goblirsch had the lone goal on an assist from Jackson Ocampo. Austin Krohn had five saves.
New Ulm (6-0, 2-0) travels to Hutchinson on Friday.

MVL boys take 19th at Gerry Smith Invite
MONTGOMERY — Minnesota Valley Lutheran took 19th out of 28 teams in the Gerry Smith Invitational cross-country meet on Thursday.
Jeremy Feistner placed 35th (16:45.7), while Titus Kohls placed 58th (17:11.1).
Springfield girls places 2nd in Tracy
TRACY — The Springfield girls took second place at a cross-country meet in Tracy, while the boys team placed seventh out of 13 teams.
Katie Thram led the Springfield girls team with a sixth-place finish (21:53), followed closely in seventh by Lidia Dauer (21:59). Sylvia Hovland placed 19th (22:50).
For the Springfield boys, Dylan DeWitt placed 14th (19:06), while Bryan Burkle took 19th (19:30).
Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s/Sleepy Eye/New Ulm Cathedral also competed in the meet, with Emma Hagen taking ninth place for the girls. For the boys, Levi Hagen placed 10th, while Max Fischer placed 13th.
