Madelia’s Josiah DeMaris finished second on Tuesday in the first-ever Tomahawk-Valley Conference Cross-Country Championship boys race at Mankato Loyola. He ran a time of 16:35.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: My favorite food is my mom’s homemade lasagna.

Q: What is your favorite movie?

A: Thinking cross-country, I’ll say McFarland, USA.

Q: Who is your favorite athlete?

A: I do have a Trae Young jersey on right now, but my favorite athlete doesn’t play anymore, but Joe Mauer.

Q: What is your favorite candy?

A: Skittles.

Q: What is your favorite band/musical artist?

A: I like listening to Matt Maher.
