SPRINGFIELD — Springfield completed an undefeated regular season with a 54-7 win over Windom Area on Wednesday in a South District, West-South Subdistrict football game.
Parker Kuehn had 347 yards and five touchdowns with an interception for Springfield, while Brayden Sturm had 165 yards and three touchdowns receiving. Gavin Vanderwerf had 92 yards and a touchdown on the ground, while Isaac Fredin and Braxton Brown each had a receiving touchdown. Defensively for the Tigers, Gavin Vanderwerf had nine tackles, while Aiden Moriarty had a sack and an interception. Nick Wester also had a sack, while Sturm and Brown each had an interception.
Springfield (8-0, 7-0) awaits playoffs seeding.
Madelia 32, BLHS 0
MADELIA — Madelia got its first win of the season with a 32-0 victory over Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Wednesday in a Nine-Man South district, West Subdistrict football game.
Kyle Pietsch had 11 rushes for 125 yards and three touchdowns for Madelia, while Cale Odegard was 5 for 11 passing with 85 yards and a touchdown. Dalton Tatro had three receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown while Chase Osborne had two receptions for 45 yards. On defense, Noel Davilla had two interceptions, while Chase Osborne had one interception. Conner Rathman had 12 tackles.
Madelia finishes its regular season with a 1-7 record and awaits playoff seeding.
NYA 47, GFW 0
NORWOOD YOUNG AMERICA — Norwood Young America rolled Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop 47-0 in a Mid Southeast District, West Subdistrict football game on Wednesday.
Garrett Stegeman had 13 carries for 39 yards for GFW, while Owen Swenson had six carries for 31 yards. Cole Jacobson had 34 passing yards and an interception, with Swenson catching three passes for 33 yards. Defensively for the Thunderbirds, Mason Ahlbrecht had seven total tackles, while Swenson had six tackles. Will Bastian had five tackles, two for loss, while Luke Bastian had five tackles and an interception.
GFW finishes the regular season with a 2-6 record and awaits playoff seeding.

CLEVELAND — Alden-Conger earned the first-ever Tomahawk-Valley Conference Volleyball Championship with a 25-23, 25-22, 25-21 sweep of Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Tuesday at Cleveland High School.
Lily Hubin had nine kills, 23 set assists, 11 digs and two aces for BLSH, while Chloe Schultz had nine kills and two blocks. Lauren Hubin had eight kills, 19 digs and three aces.
No stats were reported from Alden-Conger.
