Big South releases 4 All-Conference teams
The Big South Conference released its boys and girls All-Conference golf teams, as well as the All-Conference softball and boys tennis teams on Friday.
New Ulm senior Will Fossen and freshman Mason Bulegler both made the Big South All-Conference boys golf team. St. Peter was most represented, with four golfers making the team.
Blue Earth Area was the most represented on the girls golf team, with four golfers taking home honors.
For the boys tennis team, New Ulm was tied with St. James Area for five players represented, the most in the conference. Seniors Maverick Johnson, Joey Kotten, Gideon Heins and Dan Brownfield all made the team, along with junior Charlie Weidman. The Eagles were also conference champions this year.
New Ulm was also the conference champion in softball, with seven players being mentioned on the All-Conference team. Senior Natalie Bianchi was on the team, with juniors Ramsey Hopp, Kenzie Enter, Maddie Backer and Berkley Wilfahrt all joining her. Senior Gracie Linbo and sophomore Lauren Schmiesing were Honorable Mention.
