SLEEPY EYE — The Sleepy Eye Baseball Association (SEBA) is happy to announce its first Military Appreciation Night. This summer with the help of the Sleepy Eye American Legion Post 7 and an anonymous donation, SEBA will be honoring all military personnel. SEBA mapped out select home games the Senior Legion will wear the attached uniforms to bring members of our military community together. This allows Sleepy Eye and local communities to celebrate the important contributions both home and abroad. It is an honor to recognize our region’s military through fun nights at the ballpark.

SEBA’s goal is to wear these special uniforms at home games at times during the Legion regular season to help promote this night which will be Tuesday, July 16th at 7:30 pm. Many plans are still in the works. To help cover costs of the uniforms, each Senior Legion rosteree will be asked to pick up a sponsor for their uniform, whether it be a business or an individual. During the game on July 16th vs Mankato American, all uniform tops will be auctioned off and proceeds from the auction will go to a charity program of Sleepy Eye American Legion’s choice. SEBA hopes to do this event annually to promote American Legion baseball as well as honor those who have represented or those who currently represent our country in any branch of military.
