Cancer Awareness Night this Thursday at NUHS

NEW ULM — This Thursday night at New Ulm High School, the Eagles girls basketball team will host the Worthington Trojans in a Big South Conference game on Cancer Awareness Night.

Every 52 seconds, an American dies from cancer. At Thursday’s 7:30 p.m. game, New Ulm will be putting 52 seconds on the clock and players will be going into the crowd collecting donations for those 52 seconds. All money will go to the New Ulm Medical Center oncology department.

Players will also be wearing blue, green, pink, orange and gold colors representing colon, liver, breast, leukemia, and childhood cancer. The Eagles are not trying to just draw awareness to those specific types of cancer but to all types and are asking the public to join them Thursday night in the fight against this terrible disease.

Starting at $4.50/week.
