MINNETONKA — West Fargo, ND, topped New Ulm VFW Gold 13-8 in nine innings on Friday at a Minnetonka VFW baseball tournament.

Lucas Suess was 2 for 4 with two runs scored for New Ulm, while Jake Finstad scored three runs and had an RBI. Levi Franta was 1 for 3 with two RBIs and two walks.

Kaden Wilson took the loss for Gold in relief of Zach Riederer. Wilson pitched five innings and gave up seven earned runs. Riederer pitched four innings and gave up four earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three.

VFW Gold plays at 5:30 p.m. Saturday against Eden Prairie 2.
