SPRINGFIELD — Springfield defeated Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart in a Tomahawk Conference boys’ basketball game on Tuesday.

Logan Richert led Springfield with 15 points and Dylan Batzlaff had 13 points.

Springfield (7-6) is at Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Thursday.

Girls’ Basketball

LCWM 84, Nicollet/Loyola 52

LAKE CRYSTAL — Lake Crystal/Wellcome Memorial crushed Nicollet/Mankato Loyola in a Valley Conference girls’ basketball game on Tuesday.

Marah Hulke led the Raiders with 21 points and Hayley Selby had 13 points. Josi Hansen finished with 8 points.

Nicollet (6-8, 5-7) hosts Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons on Thursday.

ST. JAMES — Springfield went 1-1 on Tuesday at a St. James prep wrestling triangular.

Joe Anderson (145) and Shane Clemon (285) were 2-0 on the night for the Tigers.

Adrian Area 65, Madelia/T/ML 12

MADELIA — Madelia/Truman/Martin Luther dropped a pair of prep wrestling duals on Tuesday night to Adrian Area 65-12 and Fulda-Murray County Central 70-5

Against Adrian, Jake Lehman picked up a win for Madelia by forfeit at 132, while Gach Mar defeated Reese Morrison by pin in 47 seconds.

Against Fulda, Mar defeated Owen Olsem by an 18-3 tech fall.

Canby 40, Wabasso 34

Minneota 61, Wabasso 16

WABASSO — Wabasso dropped a pair of duals at its home prep wrestling triangular on Tuesday, falling to Canby 40-34 and Minneota 61-16.

Picking up a pair of wins for Wabasso on the night were Carter Benz (160) and Tyler Bliss (182). Both of Bliss’ wins came by fall.
