Andersen finishes 301st in WSOP Main Event

LAS VEGAS — Danielle Moon Andersen, a former New Ulm assistant softball coach and current Henderson, Nevada, resident, finished in 301st place at the 50th annual World Series of Poker on Wednesday.

With more than 8,500 players entering this year’s $10,000 Main Event at the WSOP, Andersen peaked at fourth place on Day 4 of the tournament Tuesday and left with over 2 million chips. She was eliminated on Day 5 Wednesday evening, winning $38,240.

In the 2017 Main Event, Andersen finished in 402nd place, giving her $31,170, which was her biggest tournament score until this past Wednesday. She guaranteed a higher finish this year after making it to Day 5 on Wednesday.

The World Series of Poker can be viewed on ESPN networks during every night of the tournament. The Main Event concludes on Tuesday with the final three players.
