To the editor: When I was about 12 years old I would tell my dad about some of the things we were being taught in school. Concerning evolution, he would tell me that’s just a theory. To the editor: The local pharmacy isn’t just a place to pick up prescriptions—we are a lifeline. I’ve spent years helping patients manage their medications, answering late-night phone calls, and ensuring my community gets the care they need. But independent pharmacies like mine are disappearing, and with them, vital healthcare services. Too many in Minnesota lack easy, safe access to medications. To the Editor: The letter to the editor in the New Ulm Journal on April 10, entitled “The Real Hands off Movement” was very well written. Here are some additional examples to add to the list. Hands Off — the unborn and partial-birth children being killed via abortion. Hands off our taxpayer money being used by the Planned Parenthood killing machine. I personally visited Second Harvest Heartland several years ago and saw a brand new facility with all the latest bells and whistles. I thought something seemed odd. How could a volunteer operation give away food to people week after week, and seemingly not have a care in the world about finances?  Now the answer is here. To the editor: Thank you, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, for having a course called "Totalitarian Patterns” way back in the last century. It was taught by a professor originally from an East European country, who had held a high elective position there until ousted by the communists. To the editor: Last week four American soldiers died in a training exercise in Lithuania. When their bodies were recovered, Lithuania paused to honor their sacrifice.
