To the editor: I’ve been trying for a year to catch the attention of First District Congressman Brad Finstad.  I’ve called all of his district offices, leaving voice messages and messages with his phone answerers.  Ditto for his Washington DC office. Twice I have been hung up on.  Never have I gotten a callback I’ve tried social media,   I live in District 1, so he is supposedly representing me.  How can he represent me if he won’t talk to me? To the editor: Pete Hegseth, like so many of Trump’s nominees for top government posts, was and is wholly unqualified for the job for which he’s been entrusted. Unlawful orders

To the editor: During my 24 years on active duty, I was stationed on ships that were directly involved in Drug Interdiction Operations. We searched, seized, arrested and commandeered. We did not summarily execute. Now Trump is ordering these vessels to be destroyed. This is extra judicial killings as in this country we do not execute suspects regardless of offense without evidence and due process. Fireside chats vs.inflammatory speech

To the editor: In the depths of the Great Depression, a real President and leader, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, calmly looked to soothe the minds of the populace with his “fireside chats.” ... Of course, such sane speech would run afoul of the current president’s inflammatory rhetoric to spread fear. Where is the outrage?

To the editor: President Trump is continuing to routinely murder boatloads of human beings that he apparently deems necessary to be dead. These human being have not been arrested, imprisoned, and given a fair trial. They may be criminals, most likely are not white; but where in the Bible does it say this is okay?
