Private family services will be held. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery, Soldier’s Rest. Full military honors will be provided by the New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard.

Scott is survived by his sisters, Gail Schroeder of New Ulm and Julie Schroeder of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; brother, Keith (Linda) Schroeder of Backus; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Scott Michael Schroeder was born Jan. 3, 1963, in New Ulm to Howard and Carol (Reinarts) Schroeder. He attended and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1981. Scott served in the U.S. Army from 1980-81, when he was a paratrooper in Germany, Italy and Austria. He was very proud of role as a soldier. Following his deployment, Scott was a roofer for Gag and Laraway and also worked for Swift in St. James and Kraft in New Ulm. He was a lifelong member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm. Blessed be his memory.
