Brian is survived by his siblings, Bob Neumann of New Ulm, Jim (Mary Ellen) Neumann of Scottsdale, Arizona, Margaret Manderfeld of New Ulm, Bruce Neumann of Olivia, Brad (Cathy) Neumann of Bloomington, Kathy Neumann of Saint Louis Park, John Neumann of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Neumann, on Jan. 29, 2013; and Harvey Neumann, on June 14, 2009; and brother, Thomas Neumann on Aug. 5, 2001.

Brian Joseph Neumann born on Aug. 9, 1962, in New Ulm to Harvey and Mary Neumann. He attended New Ulm Public School and graduated in 1980. Brian graduated from Mankato State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, and he worked in the computer and information technology field. Brian enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, computer software and new technology, photography, the outdoors and fishing. Brian was an independent, generous and kind man. Brian was born with spina bifida and bravely faced a myriad medical procedures. His physical disabilities did not deter him from enjoying life. He proudly served on the Gillette Children’s Family Council, assisting the facilitators to improve patient care at Gillette Children’s. We would like to acknowledge the world class medical staff and care providers at Gillette Children’s, Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and friendship from the Kai Allen family.
