Maryanne Danforth

Maryanne Danforth, 79, of O’Fallon, Missouri, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020, at her residence in O’Fallon.

She was born February 4, 1941, in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Raymond Kenneth and Ellen Theresa (Curran) Hillman.

She was united in marriage on November 23, 1963, in North Attleboro, MA, to David MacKenzie Danforth, Sr. who preceded her in death on July 1, 2009.

Maryanne served as Executive Director for the Peacepipe and Heart of Missouri Girl Scout Councils.

She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martins and St. Theodore Catholic Church in Flint Hill, MO, Zonta International, and Gamma Sigma Sigma. She volunteered for many years with the Special Learning Center, Samaritan Center, and ABLE Learning Center. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crafting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include four children, Dianne (Rick) Clark, St. Peters, MO; David (Karin) Danforth, Jr., Crookston, MN; Maura (Douglas) Schons, O’Fallon, MO; Meredith (Scot) Clark, North Kingston, RI; and eleven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Kenneth Hillman.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. The service will be live streamed for those who wish to watch from home. The link can be found on Maryanne’s obituary page at www.dulletrimble.com.

Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.

Memorials are suggested to the Special Learning Center or to ABLE Learning Center.
