Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda and will continue on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda. Interment will be at St. Mathias Catholic Cemetery in Wanda.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.

Memorials preferred to Redwood County Relay for Life and St. Mathias Catholic Cemetery Association.

Bertha Helen Jenniges was born on March 13, 1919 to John and Caroline “Lena” (Aufderheide) Jenniges at their home in Waterbury Township, Northwest of Wanda in Redwood County.

She is survived by her children: Cathie Riegel of New Ulm, John Altermatt of Wanda, Paul Altermatt of Wanda, Margaret “Midge” Marcum of Mineral Bluff, GA, Mary Rocheleau of Anchorage, AK, Peter Altermatt of Wanda, Anne Schwartz of Blaine, Susan Bierl of Wanda, Tom Altermatt of Wanda; 29 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and sisters Elaine Rohlik, Jean Duetsch.
