Krista Nelson
Krista Oline Nelson, 48 of Las Vegas, Nevada (formerly of New Ulm), died Sept. 28, 2016 from complications suffered in a house fire.
Born July 2, 1968 in St. Paul, Krista spent her formative years in Redwood Falls, Shoreview and New Ulm. She graduated from NUHS in 1986 and attended St. Cloud State University briefly.
Krista spent many years living in St. Cloud. She moved to Reno, Nevada and worked for Fitzgerald’s Casino. Krista later moved to Las Vegas and became a Casino Host for Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and later accepted a position as Aladdin Casino Las Vegas. She resided in Las Vegas for the last 15 years.
She is survived by her son Ryan of Sartell; her parents Larry and Sandy Nelson of Peterson (formerly of New Ulm); brother Marcus (Heather) Nelson of Prattville, Alabama; sister Sarah (Kevin) Rask of Kansas City, Missouri; nephews Tony and Jake Rask and many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
