Luke Taylor

FAIRFAX – Luke Taylor, age 34, of Fairfax, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview in Minneapolis.

Funeral Service will be Friday, January 22, at 11 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax with Pastor Vicki Toutges officiating. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Cairo Township, Renville County, MN.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 21, from 4-8 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Luke Ivan Taylor was born on February 7, 1981, in Marshall, MN. He was the son of Ivan and Kim (Sykes) Taylor. Luke was baptized as an infant at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta, MN. He received his education in Fairfax and was a 1999 graduate of GFW High School.

On April 24, 2004, Luke was united in marriage to Jennifer Wilson at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls, MN. After their marriage, the couple resided in Fairfax. Luke was employed at Kiecker Plumbing and Heating in Fairfax. Luke and Jennifer were blessed with two children and they shared 11 years of marriage.

Luke enjoyed playing softball and bean bags, hunting, and watching his boys sporting events. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Luke is survived by his wife, Jennifer Taylor of Fairfax, MN; children, Treay Taylor and Easton Taylor; parents, Ivan and Kim Taylor of Fairfax, MN; mother-in-law, Deb and Al Siedel of Vesta, MN; siblings, Erika (Matt) Smith of Hutchinson, MN, Heidi (Jeff) Irlbeck of Redwood Falls, MN, Michele (Vaughn) Nordhausen of St. James, MN, Tracy (Steve) Besser of Litchfield, MN, and Wade (Tina) Taylor of Prior Lake, MN; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Luke was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Christina Taylor, Dural and Eves Sykes and Joan Beiler; aunts, Irma Taylor, Marion Pederson, and Diane Hess; uncles, Kenneth, James, Gene and Richard Taylor.
