New Ulm Police Received a two-vehicle crash report with no apparent injuries at 9:14 a.m., Thursday at 5th North and Jefferson Streets.A 2015 Chevy Malibu driven by Leo A. Waibel was eastbound on 5th North Street when it collided with a 2007 Lincoln MKZ driven by Morgan L. Hirth, 28, Mankato, who failed to stop at a stop sign and yield, while southbound on Jefferson Street. Waibel wore a seat belt. According to court documents, Comfrey Police were on patrol at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday when a vehicle following the squad car repeatedly flashed its headlights. Police pulled over, approached the driver and learned she needed help because Geekie allegedly just assaulted her. New Ulm Police Received a two-vehicle, injury crash report at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at 20th Street South and German Street. A Subaru Legacy driven by Jasmine T. Widmer, 17, Courtland, was eastbound when it rear-ended a Honda driven by Julie A. Untiedt, 64, New Ulm. Widmer's airbag deployed and caused minor facial injuries. Two juvenile passengers in the Widmer vehicle had minor injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts. Widmer's vehicle was demolished with major front end damage.
