According to court documents, Comfrey Policeman Elliot Waterbury was contacted by a Brown County deputy about a woman looking for harassment restraining order information on Schumann, who allegedly threatened her.

The woman said Schumann threatened to “shoot her in the face” and refused to leave when she saw him in Comfrey May 31, 2023. The woman said she asked Schumann to leave a family business, which he refused to do at first, then left but she felt she was in danger.

Deputies have not been able to locate Schumann. Police requested an arrest warrant be issued for Schumann.

A 2003 Harley-Davidson FXST Cruiser was found in a ditch on its side. A paramedic on scene said he believed Zietz was intoxicated and had a jaw injury. Zeitz admitted to drinking.

New Ulm Medical Center staff determined Zeitz needed to be airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) for head injury treatment. He was flown to HCMC by air ambulance. A blood sample indicated a 0.102 ethyl alcohol concentration. Zeitz was convicted of felony DWI in Blue Earth County Court April 27. 2012.

• Gross misdemeanor 5th-degree drugs-not small amount marijuana and misdemeanor trespass-return to property within one year charges were filed June 1, 2023 against Ly’Mya M. Moffett, 20, 1032 8th North St, St. James.

According to court documents, Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Randee Murphy was dispatched to 27850 210th Avenue April 17, 2023 for a homeowner who found drugs on his property that he wanted to turn over.

A witness said he found what he thought was Moffett’s purse under a backyard porch plus a bag by a tree in the grove. He said she was trespassed from the property as of April 20, 2023 because he wanted the property gone so Moffett had no reason to come back.

The witness said his son and Moffett used to date when he found her sleeping in the dog kennel and in the basement bathroom one morning. Deputy Murphy later talked to Moffett at the rural address and was told the trespass service was not valid.

Deputy Murphy searched Moffett’s bags and found many items taken as evidence including tubes, straws, a lid with residue, razorblade, scraper, containers with roaches and waxy substances, vapes and vape cartridges.
